Thanks Striperskiff: Bring your Striperboat and eqpt. if you don’t mind…
“The big one’s still swimming, let’s go.”
I should be down saturday to pick up my boat from Chris V. I will probably stop by
I’m not going to be able to make it Saturday. I’ll get the details from striperskiff or follow-on post on the forum.

Hey MacDaddy!
Good job! I could be the poster child for this club. I have a 23’ CC with a 200 Suzuki, downriggers, cheap tackle, and no experience. I live in Rock Thrill (are you still in Charlotte, or now in Summerville?).
I can’t make it Saturday (out of town guests), but count me in for later.
Thanks!

Yea, Itch, I’m still in Charlotte, leaving tomorrow for Charleston and the big show. Sorry you can’t make this event, love to see that CC and your gear. New fishermen to the King Mackerel scene need all the help they can get, I did forsure. This thread is still growing, and has some really good stuff on it already for you guys. Do you do any Striper fishing at Norman, Murray, or anywhere? PM any info about yourself pertinent to your desires, goals, etc. Our read total for the two posts is now over 1100, so where are the members? Maybe later…

Thanks Tidewater Lefty, I guess you are in Columbia, too. Welcome to the website, I see you joined last week, bring your boat by and let’s set 'er up for the big KM. If you Striper fish, it probably is ready to go now. Striperskiff is going to bring his boat I hope, if not we can use yours for some Striper demo. By the way guys, I just talked to my son, we are planning to fish Sunday for Stripers at the Ravenel bridge if they are still there, and the Jetties if we want to make a party of boats on Sunday. The Stripers were there last month, we"ll see what happens, probably put in at Remly’s Point, in Mt. Pleasant, which is close to Ravenel, not too far from jetties. Bring good anchor for the jetty fishing everybody, who doesn’t have powerful Trolling Motor. I’ll do a complete reply on this tonight probably. Also in Charleston, I’ll have to depend on son’s Laptop, I won’t have full use of my computer there, so PM tonight for sure, later ok, I just won’t be able to reply right away.

Sorry guys I meant that last reply for Striperking, just too many names in my head right now. Here’s report: gdaddy and myself will start the seminar @ 1:00, I think this oportunity on a boat outside, should be taken advantage of. So the seminar will probably last 'til 3:30, we also planned to teach making rigs, and how to cast a net, but we’ll do that a meetings from time to time, probably a different class every meeting for several meetings, due to so many members being from out of town. This seminar will be: 1. Rigging your boat. 2. Planning your trip. 3. Securing bait. 4. How to choose area and holes. 5. What to do when arriving atyour hole. 6.Reading your Depthfinder re: bait and fish. 7.How to control your speed for SLOW trolling. 8.Pattern for trolling, circles or straight. 9.What to do when a strike occurs. 10. Duties of the Captain. 11. Proper gaffing. Hope everyone will stay for a sandwich at the end of the day and a little more social time if needed. In case you didn’t read the last reply, I am planning to fish Sunday at the Ravenel bridge for Stripers, and the jetties for Sheeps or Red/Trout, if anyone is interested. If you bring coolers Sat., leave them in your vehicle, and use can huggers. Anyone needing directions or info, my cell 704-309-5171, I’ll be in Charleston Thurs. PM. Bring a buddy, and come on…

MacDaddy says…“Striperskiff is going to bring his boat I hope, if not we can use yours for some Striper demo.”
MacDaddy, I’ll be there, but it’s not going to be feasible for me to tote the boat down this weekend. Striperking has a really nice rig and it sounds like he may have it if he stops by…if not, maybe one of the local guys can bring a boat over.
I do have some equipment I can bring if it would help…stuff to tie up some live and dead bait rigs…TLD15s on 7’ rods…Maps Unique chart

I have all those items, just wanted a little variety, and my boat is a converted pleasure boat, not a center console. We will have plenty info to cover in our short time, anyway. Everyone should bring pen, pad, lawn chair, sun cover, etc. for 2 1/2 hrs outside. We can meet later if need be, but we will have at least a short time for meeting, mainly need to meet and greet for now, HAVE FUN…

I cant leave cola until 2:00. I still plan on stopping by but I will be late probably 4:00.
You ok on the directions Sriperking? I know GPS has changed asking for directions, was hoping to have your boat, but my converted pleasure boatwill do ok. See ya whenever, we’ll have some free time late, so you’ll be ok…PS: Stay for dinner, too.

OK guys, forecast for Sun. fishing looks bad, I’m leaving now for Charlestown, be on the road and getting a tire repaired on the trailer, I’ll be back on tonight, see ya’…

Mac, I’ll have my boat hooked up Saturday, actually showing to a potential buyer at 10:00. I live right around the corner (so to speak) from Wescott so if you need a center console boat to do demonstrations on let me know.

So, how did the inaugural meeting go?
Is mac daddy really a serial killer, and this was a ploy to lure in unsuspecting victims?
Anybody there?
Helllooooo!

turned out pretty good. Had a fair number of people show up
The seminar went well. I didn’t stick around for the meeting. Maybe that’s why I’m still alive. Mac Daddy seems to have a good bit of knowledge stuffed up under his hat and I’m looking forward to joining the king club.
I had a great time at the seminar also, thanks to all the guys that came out!!! Cant wait to meet some more of you guys at the next meeting on the 24th of april!!! Hope to see ya there!!!
