Just got out of surgery to repair my pectoral chest muscle detachment. Surgery went well and had chest muscle screwed back to my shoulder bone. Fishing and hunting season is over for me until next year. Keep sending the fishing and hunting stories and pictures. Believe it or not, I read every one of them. Now I will really have more time to read them. Just giving a shout out to all my pier buddies and also to give fishing advice if you need it. (Just my two cents) Listen and take care of your body because if you feel pain get it checked out. Catching too many fish might have worn out my arm and chest. ha ha (p.s. thanks for all the prayers)

A torn pectoral injury is a very debilitating injury that often has to be surgically repaired. Learn how to do rehab for a pectoral muscle tear in this heal…
I pulled a muscle in my neck this morning and I know how much misery that can be, on such a small muscle. I can only imagine the misery of a pulled pec. Praying you heal quickly. Fish, I’m sure, are sending up a lot of thanksgiving that you’ve hung it up for the year lol.

I can identify with what you will be going thru. Today was my first day on the lake (Murray) in about 2 months. My surgery was a success, but I was 3 lbs. lighter after the surgery. I think the doc took everything out of me but a kitchen sink!! Now I’m looking at 6 months of chemo, but atleast for the next couple of weeks I can be on the water. It’s amazing how good these little white perch feel when they bite. Could you downsize and fish oldstyle freshwater with a cane pole? Any fishing is better than no fishing? Good luck with your recovery. And definitely follow the doctors orders.
Get well soon, King. I tore a muscle in my back catching fiddler crabs for bait so I understand sacrificing the body for angling. No surgery for me but at my advanced age it took a while to heal up.
Hey King, Greetings from lake Murray. How about an update? Are you starting to heal up from the surgery?
It’s been six weeks for me and the doctor says I can probably go back to work next week. I’m still tender but doing much better. It’s amazing what a good surgeon can do!! That and prayers helped a lot too!!!
A good friend carried the trolling motor and an iced cooler to the boat for me Saturday before last and we managed 28 fair sized white perch. They seem to be everywhere in Murray, thriving, even though they are a salt water fish. They were between 21’ and 25’ deep and ate up the white Berry’s spoons with the silver reflector. Get better soon.
Did you have a pectoral detachment surgery? Doctor said I need to be in a sling for 6 weeks and physical therapy for 4-6 months. Full recovery can be a year to complete strength back. I am glad you are doing better and nice to have friends and family to help us during this time. Thanks for asking and keep me updated and hopefully we both will be back to doing our hobbies soon.
