There are some clubs in SC that do accept and have female members. I’ve fished against some in 2 day Bass Federation tournaments. One lady was in line for weigh-in just behind us a few years ago and she had a big sack of largemouth on the first day. She was ahead of a bunch of the guys including me and my fishing partner. It feels bad to be beat by a girl! No really, she knew her stuff.

Because he owns a business selling his fish and I just don’t want to bother him. I would rather go with someone who had the time and energy and patience to work with me. Not saying he wouldn’t, I just wouldn’t want to be an inconvenience. Don’t know if that makes sense or not, but it does to me.

Don’t know anyone in business, that would pass on Free labor:wink: Fishing is more than holding a rod! Were talking boat washing and stuff before and after going. Lot of time and effort involved in that stuff.
Lauren, I saw on your profile that you are in Summerville. Summerville Saltwater Anglers has a meeting tomorrow (Wed) at Miler Country Club at 6:30pm. We are a family oriented club with plenty of women and children. This month is all about kids so please consider coming to the meeting and bring your kids. They will walk away happy. I think you will like the club. We have at least one other solo woman who joined the club recently. And your request about finding folks to help you learn and take you out I think that will be taken care of as well. Just a thought.
