Landings

Is Live Oak the quickest for access to St. Pierre creek?

Quickest public boat launch. There are many private ones. I was at Live Oak yesterday at low tide and saw a 17 and 20 ft boat take out. The sharp drop-off did not hinder those two boats, but it does look like a drastic drop. I was in a kayak so it did not bother me.

i put in at live oak today not long after low tide, pretty steep landing!!!, the only problem was my trailer wanting to float to the side before my bow/anchor cleared the winch.
I really do not like steep ramps!!
drop off not much factor, but not looking forward to reloading on the steep ramp later in the week.

edisto brad… what that you in the red kayak? we were out doin a little shark fishin and seen a red kayak out there… we were joking about askin him to come hook to our lines so we could atleast hear the bait clicker go off… haha

Brad i saw your truck out there when we put in on sunday. Hopefully you got out of there before that storm blew through. I got lucky I went to back the trailor down and the bottom fell out. Colin and edisto fisher were still in the boat with lighting poping all over them.

Edisto82 what boat were yall in. We were taking out an 18 Grady. I got the trucked backed down the ramp and it started hammering. I was soaked by the time I got to the trailer from the front seat. Never loaded a boat that fast in my life.

Dixie,
Were you anchored in the sound?

E82,
I was gone before the storm blew through. My neighbor, Charlie, got soaked. He stayed out on Otter Island a little too long. I also liked the article about your family in the paper. Very nice! You are what’s good about Edisto.

Brad if I remember correctley i think charlie told me yaull have a little one on the way. Congrats!

Yeah we were out at otter with charlie and the rest of the crowd. I think Charlie was 2 cars behind us at the ramp waiting to pull out during the storm.

I dont know if we are whats good about edisto but were definitely here.

lil 2 sleepy we were in a little sea pro

brad, we were anchored in the chanal by pine island

Hate to get off of the topic subject, but yes E82 we will find out in a few weeks if its a boy or girl. Dixie, I was in the khaki Ultimate 14.5 kayak with my wife. She wanted some sun and to see the dolphins in Big Bay Sound. I am rigging it for fishing this weekend. Lots of good info. on the kayak fishing forum. Also Dixie, how is the bowfishing for catfish going? Have heard of some good reports by the dam by my scuba friends going under and sticking them.
