cracker larry I am looking for a piece of starboard big enough to use as hard top for tee top. what thickness would you recommend or other material that would work to stand on to site fish. any help would be appreciated.
I don’t think that’s a good idea to make the entire top from starboard. It would need to be 3/4- 1" thick and would be incredibly heavy. Better to fab that out of fiberglass and foam.
Raymond at Martin Marine builds some T-tops that are partially fabric with a zip out panel and a starboard seating platform on top. He’s building one of those for the boat I’m finishing up now. He built one for Fishin’ Coach too.
The best help I can give you is to talk to Raymond about what you want to do, if it can be done, he can do it. He also has a good supplier for starboard. I get mine from Raymond. 843-784-6110 or info@martinmarinedesign.com

Thanks larry. I was thinking 1\2 inch would be strong enough and keep wieght down but I will call raymond and see what he thinks would be best option. Thanks again for your help. Can’t wait for cobia season and would like to sight fish for them a little bit this year.

If you get one off a newer cart, it will have a GPS on it that will show you where and how far, the next fishing hole is:wink:
