Last Day Fishing IOP + Nice Sized Trout

Fished my last day here at IOP/Wild Dunes. Didn’t catch a lot this morning, but managed to get a few whiting, a stingray, a small puppy drum, and a 17.5" speckled trout.

To catch the trout, I had a fish finder rig with cut whiting on it. A small whiting bit the cut whiting, and I guess the trout attacked the small whiting that was already hooked. It was a pretty lucky catch. Again, thanks to all who gave me advice about IOP! I’m headed back to VA.

Good job Bob, glad you had some fun and caught some fish. Nice of you to get back to us with a report. How was the point-productive ?

It was reasonably productive. Managed some black drum and a lot of sting rays.
