I am new to the site and trying to get into saltwater fishing. I live inland and do not always make trips out to the coast but want to make it more frequently. Looking for any helpful info that could put me on to some fish tomorrow. Looking for pier or would love bank fishing. I would greatly appreciate any info. Thanks!
When I want to pier fish i typically go to spring maid pier in south myrtle beach. its a long pier with plenty of room. I think to fish is $9 and you can have two rods out. They sell frozen squid, shrimp, and blood worms there. I never have much luck there but i think the fish recognize my gear and avoid it because ive seen people bring in all kinds of fish there from spanish mackerel, pompano, and whiting. Most people i see catching use a 12ft rod with a sabiki rig and jig for spanish mackerel or bait fish and then hook those on a shorter but heavier rig for the bigger fish. Hope this helps
I appreciate the info Sir Fish-a-lot! I will definitely give it a shot!!
