…I’ve done some online research and was considering surf fishing at the east end of the island by the lighthouse…but it seems sort of trek to get out there?
The Folly Pier looks nice, but while i will through out some surf rigs, I really like throwing lures for blues, trout and whatever else will hit at that time. However, I’ve also come to like fishing slip bobbers with live shrimp from a pier for whiting / trout. Either of those techniques work from the Folly Pier in December?
If not fishing the pier or the morris island lighthouse surf, any other low hanging fruit?
One last question if I was to rent a house on the sound (Folly River?) and had access to their dock, would that be a better fishing option possibly then the other two mentioned above?
I know there are a lot of variables. what bait shop you all recommend on the island?
thanks in advance!
Brent
Can the fishing turn on in December from the pier? or is the water too cold?
