Went out with a couple of guys from work. We collected about 6 or 7 dozen shrimp a couple dozen MM and a dozen or so FM. We hit the water about 830am about 1 1/2 hrs after low. The water was still really low and barely moving when we made out first stop. After about 20 min the water started to move and the trout started to bite . A trout every cast but they were all 13". The trout would only hit shrimp and nothing else. After messing with the trout for a while we move a couple hundred yards away along some grass and it was on with the reds. We landed about 20 in about an hour . 7 were upper slot fish from 21 1/12 - 23. We also pick up a couple more small trout a small flounder and a sea robin. The big reds took the MM and the little rats took the shrimp. Nothing was interested in the FM.
We fished from about 830 am till 1130am. Scattered t-storms all around but not too close. Got caught in one huge down pore. The wind was inconsistent. Blowing to dead calm. The water temp was 85. The best 3 hrs I have had on the water in a long time. We all caught fish and we all had fresh frish to take home to mama. And to think we could have been at work!

Great report! Thanks for posting!
Seems to be a lot of small trout around. It seems no matter where I go, what I’m fishing for, or what bait I’m using, I always catch at least one. The “catch and release” plan that SCDNR politely asked everyone to participate in is paying dividends!
