I used it back in the 90s. As I recall at dead low the end of the ramp was exposed and had a 12 inch drop off. Also since there is no shelter from the current recovering a boat was challenging.

I didn’t realize laurel bay had a boat ramp! Can’t help on that one. I’ve put in on Parris Island. That’s a quick way to the PI reef. Not the best ramp if you are by yourself, but a quick way to the water and a lot of good spots close by.

Have you tried Greys Hill landing? Lot’s of good spots close around there and not far to Luarel bay.

Hey Fred ;
where on pi is there a ramp???:smiley:

I usually use the ramp on 170 at the Cheesessie. Big nice double ramp with dock, lots of parking. Lots of good fishing spots from there. Only 15 minutes from the PI reef.

@Gail Actually there are four that I am aware of. 1. Beaufort River side: old marina,nonusable since the mouth has silted over. 2. Beaufort River side: newly constructed near the Four Winds club. 3. Broad River side: General’s landing, closed due to erosion. 4. Archer’s creek access: near the community center near the new gate. Do not know it’s status as it has been 20 years since I used it. At that time it had a small shallow access outlet that was not passable at dead low though.

@Gail… the one PI ramp that is open is the one next to the four winds like Capt Larry said… and it is about 500’ from my office door…

you coming down this way?

also on the air station i have no clue… never used it…
