Yes, thank you for putting this up. I can’t find anything that says how long it’ll be closed. I guess we’ll just keep an eye on it and maybe someone will post on here when it’s open again.

I know it was in need of this!! I look forward to using it after it is finished, the potholes were bad!! I will ride by there this evening and see where they stand.

One Simple Thanks!!

The signs said several weeks I believe. They hadn’t started on anything as of yesterday afternoon when I drove the boat all the way there.

Thanks Sailfish. This is the only ramp I’ve used s a newcomer. I scanned the site for info on other ramps but not much current info. Anyone have a recommendation for another ramp for bay, nearshore access. 25’ wellcraft on tandem trailer. Local expertise would be greatly appreciated.

Highflight, Remley’s Point landing would probably be your best bet. Shem Creek is another option, but often crowded and chock full of paddle boarders.

Maybe they’ll follow suit and fix Limehouse and Cherry Point.

Highflight, here is a google maps page w all the local ramps. I pulled it from another user in here. I use Leeds a lot to so I’ll be looking at alternatives. I like wapoo cut and the dinky “ramp” at the NC side of the bridge to Daniels isl. Goes under an old trussed so have to watch the tide here.

FYI the sign the Parks department put up and the corner of Leeds Ave and Bridge View Dr says until April 28th

Too bad this could not have been done during the winter when the ramp was not in high demand. It is time the fishing/boating community came together to see what can be done to give us some more ramps in the area. The number of people living here continues to explode, but we are not adding any new ramps. I went by Wappoo cut last weekend and was glad I had access to my boat on a jet dock. I cannot imagine how bad it is going to be when the ramps really get busy.

Thanks for the ramp info. Drug the boat to Remleys Thursday thinking I’d check it out and get some wind practice. Not a sole there given the conditions. Didn’t have a big enough set to play with that much wind. Practice is one thing. Fiberglass repair I’ll pass on. I’ll have another go at it next week after the weekend rush.

I rode by in the boat yesterday. I could see a pile of torn up asphalt near the ramp. Glad they are doing it, but it would have been nice to do it in January.

That’s actually a Charleston County Park facility, not the city just FYI. At least it will be brand new when it’s done. Sucks in the interim, but it’s progress
