lets talk big boy football! 49ers and Panthers

I just love how my thread gets hijacked by a bunch of whiney, immature, children who just can’t have a conversation about anything other than their beloved gamecocks and tigers. Can you not just start your own thread?? I am trying to have a legit discussion about something relevant and nothing you are talking about will be proven or disproven for another 6 months!!! I might as well just stick to fishing reports

It was a good try fishboy, A+ for the effort…but these assclowns smelled blood in the water and went into a frenzy…

Ok, college season is over finally!!Lets talk NFL. Being from Charleston and having the panthers on every sunday its hard not to cheer them on. So, 49ers and Carolina this week. Whats your pic?? I think San Fran barely beat a 8-7 green bay team last week and probably would have lost if the green bay db did not drop a pick 6 interception on the final drive. Green Bay is not even in the same ballpark when it comes to panthers and their defense. I pick Carolina over san francisco 24-13.

I think you’re way underselling the 49ers win over Green Bay. That 8-7 team had Aaron Rodgers (maybe you’ve heard of him) back and was playing at Lambeau in 5 degree weather.

Meanwhile, the niners got Crabtree back late in the season and Vernon Davis and Boldin are bothing looking healthy and good. Kaepernick’s stats went way up when he had some quality receivers.

All that said, I’m no 49ers fan. I agree with you that the defense should be able to stop Gore. Likewise, the 49ers rush defense is stout, and their pass rush is fantastic (with Aldon Smith back in the lineup despite having 1 billion charges outstanding). I don’t think either team will move the ball on the ground effectively.

So I really think both teams take away the run and it comes down the QBs. It’s important that Cam doesn’t sail the ball like he’s prone to do, and someone other than Steve Smith needs to step up and make some plays. It’s going to be a good game. Certainly the best match-up this round.

At least they don’t deny that the Panthers exist…

I think your exclamation point key is sticking.

Superman got into the kryptonite yesterday.

Newton is a great athlete, but sitting and pouting with a towel draped over his head on the sideline shows a total lack of respect. Take a look at Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Andrew Luck, Drew Brees and other QB’s. Every change of possession, those cats are looking over snapshots from the earlier series, discussing it with coaches and fellow players.

Not Sham, I guess he thinks he knows it all and doesn’t need to get involved. Have fun cleaning out that locker, while Gore and Kaepernick get ready to play Sunday!

49’ers were a much better team yesterday. Their defense was very good when pushed in to the redzone. Panthers kept trying to pound it up the middle when it appeared the outside was open all day. The “chippyness” of the game is starting to take away from the product. Pushing and shoving after every play was bad. Expect to see more of it this weekend with Seattle I’m guessing. AFC won’t be as bad I bet. NFL better not become like soccer where every slide tackle appears to have broken someones leg only for them to be up and running as soon as the penalty is assessed/.

It is what it is!

Twice first and goal and you come away with 3 points? That says it all.

Saw this topic late, but as a 9er fan I am so happy that they beat the Panthers. I told panther fans at work that it wouldn’t be a 10-9 game this time and that Old Cam would return to his form. I am definitely nervous about Seattle this week though. Gonna be a lot of bumps and bruises after that one on both teams.

Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.
