Limit of trout on plastic

Caught these this past Monday on a Matrix shad, color Green Hornet on an unpainted 3/8 oz. lead head jig. I was wading a point in water about 2.5’ deep casting into about 5’ where current was running across the point. I have more success casting up current and working my bait back up on the sand bar.

Beautiful stringer Harold!

Thank you, Kerry.

ever hear of catch and release?

No need to keep that many

I have a novel idea. As long as we are within the law, YOU keep what YOU want, and I’ll keep what I want. If you can’t catch 'em, SBYL. I make no apologies for catching a legal limit of fish.

I believe this conversation was held about a year ago.

Keep them coming Harold.

Thank you. I went back two days later and came home with clean ice. Amazing what a difference a day or two can make!

To each there own. Some people actually fish to eat them rather than just look at em. I think our dnr personal have a pretty good handle on what our resources can handle. In some cases like bsb, ars, and grouper I believe they have gone too far.

(**() fine stringer of fish!

Now you’re just showing off:slightly_smiling_face: Helluva stringer there:+1:

…well, some fishing too!

Thank you. I guess I need to post a few photos of an empty stringer…in the spirit of being fair and balanced. I don’t catch 'em every time I go. Last week, I caught these on Monday, and didn’t catch another limit that week. Tuesday and Friday were too windy to get out there. Wednesday and Thursday were beautiful days with little to no wind, and the Solunar tables said last Wednesday and Thursday were suppose to be GREAT!! The fish didn’t get that message.

Were these caught in the inshore waters of the Charleston area…or even of South Carolina?

No, the limit for speckled trout in SC is 10. I caught a limit in SC a couple of weeks ago and posted a picture of them. The ones I caught in SC weren’t quite as big, but I caught a whole lot more of them. My buddy and I caught 103 in two days. We kept a total of 16.

That ought to make people feel better, you do keep some but release even more!

Again…why? If this harvesting was not done in the Charleston, or even SC waters why post in CHARLESTON fishing forum? It doesn’t provide anyone that fishes our waters any information of value. All this post seems to do is satisfy your reputation as a great harvester of fish.

He posts his Charleston Fishing as well. Not like he only posts his gulf experiences.

So if/when you go fish somewhere, would you not post a report of the trip or experience?

I’m willing to bet he doesn’t even post close to all of the successful trips he takes. Besides, I honestly don’t mind, at least someone is posting fish pics!

Keep the hogwash flowing sir!:+1:
