Limit of trout on plastic

Little early on controlling free speech there Homeboy…you losers haven’t won the election yet. Take your opinion and stick it. Your fish envy is showing as badly as your immaturity.

The ENTER-NET Fisherman

I myself enjoy Harold’s post.
Because of his posts. lf I manage a vacation over Christmas I’ll probably go to Louisiana instead of Florida this year.

Being from SC, I grew up fishing the SC coast, and I’ve spent more hours on the SC coast than anywhere else. Over the years, I’ve fished the Florida coast, the NC coast, the MS coast, the LA coast, and the TX coast. It may come as a shock to you, but I find that the same baits and techniques are pretty effective regardless of the coast I’m fishing. That’s why I post what baits I use and what water conditions were and I freely answer any and all questions to those who send me private messages. I’ve had many others tell my that they have found my informative and helpful. I’ve been helped a lot over the years by a lot of people and I’m deeply appreciative. That’s why I freely share as much info as I can in an attempt to help others become better fishermen. I’m certainly no expert, but I do like people and I like helping people. I guess there are some people who would like for me to post exact coordinates of where I catch fish on each trip. Occasionally, I’ve done that, too. I don’t know you so I don’t know your motive for lashing out at me. I’ve been a member of Charleston Fishing since it’s very first year of existence. I have a number of friends who are members here and I’ve made more friends through this site. I feel sure that if the moderators were opposed to my posting results of my fishing trips from other areas they would let me know. So far, they have not had an issue with my postings. I’m sorry you do, but I won’t change what I do because of your criticism.

What! You are as bad as BOB with the Political crap. ST, this is a FISHING forum! Some people are actually able to catch fish! When a person catches a legal limit and others admonish him for it and the beautiful pictures provided, things are really going sour.

This place would have really bothered you 10 or so years ago when we had many posting some beautiful keeper Pictures. Sure our waters have a lot more fishing pressure on them, but the only thing, with current rules in place, that are going to hurt our trout is an extremely cold winter. And even then, they jump right back in a year or two.

You say this post doesn’t Provide anything!? Sure it does, It makes me smile!

You came after him and then accuse HIM of being “angry and defensive”? Sound logic there, bubba.

Oh, and please enlighten us as to exactly how many fish one can LEGALLY keep without being considered “gluttonous”. Holla back…

Your advice on techniques for

Mr Hilcox, first thank you for the pic (awesome). So many EXPERT FISHERMAN are upset with the people who are well within the law on fish pics. I put a pic of a SAILFISH, only one ever caught on my boat, posted here couple of years ago and it was amazing! I filleted it and we grilled on high temp grill, it was great, and 100% legal, but some EXPERTS(LOL) had remarks due to their much higher standards. Anyway please continue posting your success pics!!! Also if you have a good recipe for fish or any seafood please share, I DO support ya!!! :sunglasses:

I believe the reason a lot of people have quit posting is so many negative comments about their posts. like I said before. I may go to Louisiana and fish because of Harold’s post.
You might want to look back on some of his previous posts before you accuse him of wasting fish. Always a negative Nelly in the crowd

Come on Tonic!! How about sharing photos of a big game hunt out west, or a pile of doves from Mexico? You have no clue if those fish will be eaten, and I’ll bet you they will be. I think you are just jealous.:smiley: This is an open forum and you can expect no less. I do respect your opinion, just don’t agree with it. Hope you have some good fishing days out there!

The only reason I’ve never kept more then a few trout is because I read something about they were no good to freeze. Only good fresh. If that’s not the case I hope to have a stringer like Mr. Harold’s! I love me some trout

TUG IS THE DRUG

Nice catch !!! That’s how ya get it done.

Thanks for sharing

And then we wonder why the country is so divided

Don’t be afraid to freeze fish. I’ve eaten fresh fish within two hours of catching them and I’ve eaten fish that I caught, filleted, vacuum sealed, and
froze. I can’t tell the difference. I’ve had more fish fries for family and friends than I can count. The question I’m asked most often is, “When is the next one?” NOBODY HAS EVER ASKED IF THE FISH WERE FROZEN.
Like you, I’ve heard many self proclaimed purists say they only eat fresh fish. I just smile. I venture to say that if most of those purists would bet their home that they can always tell the difference, there would be a lot more homeless people.

Good to know! Thanks for the input.
