Are there any weird surf fishing rules at Litchfield?

I believe this applies to Litchfield as its still horry county correct?

other than that, im not sure if they have certain streets/piers/areas that have more regulation

Litchfield is actually part of Georgetown County.

There are no additional laws/regulations that I am aware of.

So…how do you suppose a law like that is enforced? It’s saltwater. You can’t help but catch sharks. Not matter what bait you’re using, sharks will hit it.

Pretty sure that law is about people who actually target or fish for Sharks. I would hope that the Law enforcement know the difference. I remember 30 years ago folks fishing just to catch and fight the big sharks that hung around the piers.

did not realize it was GT… interesting.

And reel, its like sophish said, They can tell if you’re targeting sharks or not. IE: bait/hooks. If you’re throwin chunks of bonita or full whiting/blues on hooks bigger than 8 or so, youll have a hard time trying to convince someone you’re fishing for other species than shark haha
