Why is that? Brandon just wanted to catch Sharks. So we did. Also got some Whiting to go with the Shark filets for supper.
Bait was whiting fish heads and squid.

I bet that kid had a blast. I would at his age . I see you field dressed the sharks. That the only way to go if you are gonna eat them.
I’ve got some friends that would rather eat shark than mahi!

Capt Steve. Can you give any tips on cleaning the shark. I've been wanting to give it a try but I know if not processed correctly the meat won't taste right. Thanks in advance!

Cut from a-hole to appetite as soon as you catch them. Pull out the guts and let bleed in the ocean. Rinse out inside. Put straight on ice . Fillet and skin when you get home. Let fillets soak and firm up in ice water and then cut the red out. Cut up in nuggets and fry
Don’t have a headless shark in your boat! Had the game warden ck me years ago and had one he told me he could charge me $1,100 fine for that! He said he could not identify the speces with out the head. Lucky for me it had black tips on its fins!
Thanks Skipper! Very helpful.
