We are staying in Edisto the third week of March and are having a hard time finding an deepsea charter that can take 6 people. Anyone have any suggestions? We also plan on shore fishing a lot to so any recommendations would be appreciated. Never fished this area and know very little about it. Staying here since it’s closer to where our daughter is stationed. Any piers within an hour that allows shark fishing? Probably taking a second trip over the summer. Thanks for any and all help

What kind of offshore are you looking for?

Ron Davis for inshore. Contact is RADDADDY on this site.
If your going offshore call charles with single shot. He can also run inshore.
Want to head out and catch some fish we’ve never caught before. We shore and pier fished many times. Tried the first suggestion on this thread but he was way to expensive. Starting to lean toward maybe a head boat if I can find one in this area
Greendogy, Charles is “your guy” I don’t know where you are from or your experience so I apologize for assuming you are investigating for the first time. When you look at the cost you have to look at the Captain, his boat and his gear the next consideration is the fact that if you want to go “deep sea fishing” you are looking at about a 3.5 hour trip each way. You will have a top notch Captain, boat and gear. If you want a “nearshore” trip the economics will change dramatically

Got some feelers out there, thanks for all the information. Are there any good spots to shore fish while we are down there? We came down this weekend to Charleston and made a quick trip to Edisto to check the area out. Did catch three salty cats.
For surf fishing, walk north from the park to the next inlet. It’s a long walk but the fishing can be good.

What kind of fish are you looking to target? Sheepshead, black drum, sea bass, and redfish are all pretty thick within 20 miles of shore which shouldn’t make for a very expensive trip.
We ended up using Olde Man Charters and had awesome time. We filled the fish box with a large variety of keeper fishes and caught a few big sharks. Best boat trip we’ve ever taken.
Ended up using Olde Mans Charters and had a blast, well worth the money. Ended up filling the fish box and catching some sharks to boot. Professional polite captain and awesome first mate. Would recommend them to anyone.
Thank you greendogy. We strive to give the best possible trip with true southern hospitality. And catch fish!
