Rod has swivel tip and he learned that with this type of rod, length is measured with swivel tip extended, and it meets min. length for 130# class IGFA record when that is done.

While length is important I think girth is really were the performance of your rod the lies.

as far as i know …yes…right now an 80lb fish holds the record…

80, are you sure?

80 is only good enough for 10th place in La.

You’d think IGFA would be bigger than that.

You dont really think those coons down in LA are fishing with IGFA legal rigs do you? Kind of interesting that only two of those fish in the top 10 were verified by a “biologist or fisheries professional”.

How many of SC’s state records were verified by biologists prior to 1995?

Isn’t LA part of France?

Napoleon used it as a staging ground prior to Waterloo.

Whoever told LR to re-measure the rod is a very smart guy, I think he deserves a beer.

when the question came up about the rod i actually called the IGFA and talked to Jason,he said to extend the tip and remeasure…

when there was a doubt, i read where someone mentioned the tip being included in the overall measured length. that guy likes beer.

■■■■ this fish,now i have to buy you a beer too…

I bet they thought it was a shark and fought it out of the rod holder all the way up. Would that make it DQ’ed for an IGFA record?
