12 years ago for me near Big Survey Plantation.
Deer, Black bear, coyote, hogs, bobcat, raccoon, and waiting on a confirmation on a believed pic of a wolf and a million squirrels from 2012 game cams.

Dark Brown, was bringing up a new cell site off hwy 21. Never seen one since. Uncle used to manage Bluff plantation and said he had two sightings, both brown. I know what I saw, and I will take my Uncle’s word to the grave. South Florida is not that far from us.
I sure hope that DNR or any other organization doesn’t try to restore the eastern cougar, to little land and too many people.

Last year on Towels Rd in Megget SC there were a couple horses that got attacked 2 nights in a row. Friend of a friend kind of deal told me but I i ow a DNR officer that confirmed the report. Officially they don’t know what did it but everybody i asked about it said definitly cougar. Claw marks on the horses hind end.
Guns kill people just like spoons made Rosie O’donell fat.

I have a Doctor friend that lives in Walterboro that told me of seeing a big black cat a while back from her dad’s hunting stand. She told me of other sightings by other family and friends.

I saw one about 3 years ago in the field kind of across from Tri-county Tech near Clemson. Big brown cat, he was 200 yards away and clearly huge with a long tail.

No. Very random. I believe they are now labeled extinct in S.C. I have no doubt we have the random visitor up from Florida. Probably a lonely male.
Well everyone sees them so I’d say they aren’t rare…

i went turkey hunting in the swamp behind the house earlier this week. it was still dark and i was creeping through the water and i heard what sounded like a deer blowin at me. sounded a little higher pitched and it wasn’t running off though. when i got closer i could hear what sounded like hissing and growling like cats fighting. i’m assuming it was bobcats(possibly fighting and ignoring my presence) but i’ve never heard a bobcat in the woods before, only seen them. wasn’t about to go intruding on them in the dark.
You should setup a camera in that area. Sounds like a puuurrrfect place to do so. I’ve heard of other sightings in that area.
Thanks , keep us posted

I watched 4 coyotes totally devour a 110lb deer in less than 3 hours. Did a better job than a few dozen buzzards. No bones or fur left.
You sure your horse was killed by a big cat?
