Nothing so frustrating as to have the boat and the weather and the time to go offshore and can’t find anyone to go with you - life sucks:frowning_face:

went to go out saturday and had water in fuel. had to take boat to mechanic in cottageville. long story short and and bunch of money later im ready to fish. forecast looks a little rough for the rest of the week but if something changes and someone wants to head to the 40 or 60 let me know. supposed to be fairly calm tomorrow but chance of rain in the am
The weather stinks for sure. Might have a window tomorrow. I am going to try and head out to the 40 at least.

let me know what time you plan on leaving out. going for a test run today, if everything checks out i might try to get out tomorrow.
Anyone in town 4th of July week interested in buddy-boating if weather cooperates?
Like jbh, I have fished 40 and 60 reef in my boat, but have not made it to the offshore reef or out to deeper water for dolphin in my boat. I do have a little experience offshore on 26’ boat with twins, but have not taken my boat (19’ Whaler, 150 Opti, 81 gallons fuel) out much beyond the 60. I’ve been reading posts that some slinger dolphin can be found closer in and would like to try with my boat but my urge to tempt fate (by going solo) has subsided in recent years.
Will be at Edisto Friday to Friday, my window of opportunity is Sunday - Thursday if anyone is interested. Thanks.

wish i could make it but already have other plans. with it being a holiday week surely someone will want to go. if you do, take some pics and send us a report. hardly ever hear of anyone going out there, but when i do, it usually seems pretty good. good luck
Bobbyush, I am going to be down Sunday to Sunday for the 4th and will be going out one or 2 days depending upon my crew(in-laws), the weather, and seas. I’ll shoot you a PM, I may be going down on Saturday to do some inshore fishing and stay with a buddy.

),I’ll shoot you a PM in just a minute with my cell. Looks like the weather is a little snotty during the first part of the week (as far as the reefcast is concerned at least). Hopefully, it will clear up. We (my son and I) will be squared away to go if we get a good day.

I prefer duck hunting over just about anything, well just about anything. I sent you back a PM.
