Our 18’ Boston Whaler Dauntless was swept off our lift at Lands End, St Helena Island on Port Royal Sound during the hurricane, registration number SC5515BY. I hope it didn’t face the same fate 210 Scout’s did. If anyone has any info, pls call 706 825-9756.
Thanks in advance!
There were reports of a salvage guy taking boats in Beaufort county. He was taking them from docks when the home owners were still evacuated as well as boats that were adrift. I guess you might start looking for someone fire saleing boats. This guy is a dick.

Update: I notified Georgia and SC DNR of the loss and filed a claim with Progressive. After about three weeks with no word of it they declared the boat a total loss and we reached a reasonable settlement (less a $5,000 deductible because it was lost in a named storm). Shortly after settling I got a call from the St Augustine police reporting that it had washed up on the beach - about 200 miles away! It belongs to Progressive now.
Wow. 200 miles and almost a month later. Did they tell you what kind of shape it was in?
Mostly fiberglass damage. It beat up the lift a good bit coming off.
Holy Cow… sorry for the loss of your boat, but that is pretty amazing…

It’s amazing it went that far south!
