Mr MARLIN MAN…I sincerly apologise that I have offended you with trying to market a Tournament that is for the Benefit of Children. Especially one that is 100% charitable to a great cause. The SHRINERS HOSPITALS of the CAROLINAS.

If the Administration of the site has issue with me marketing our tournament here on the site please send me a PM. I have been a member on the site for three years now and have tried to be a productive member by posting our fishing reports with pictures from Little River. If I have overstepped my boundaries by marketing a 100%CHARITABLE tournament here, then I would think someone would have said something in the last three years.

It’s not a double standard. The other tournaments you read about are probably posted in the correct forum. This, if you haven’t noticed, is called the “Offshore reports” forum. There is also an “Offshore Discussions” forum. It’s the next one down, and is a more appropriate place for informing people of a tournament. Heck, you may even try the “Tournaments and Community Events” forum… just a guess.

I don’t think that you can call it “spam” since it is a local tournament. 2Asas just wants as much participation as he can get in a tournament that benefits a noble cause. Good luck to him! I personally don’t have a problem making an exception on the offshore forum to benefits the chirrens!!!

Oh ya there is the hilton head tourney promoted in fish reports guess you missed that one. If you click on this thread and read this your most probably just doing it to feed your own ego which is why you posted your complaints in the first place i’m sure. A simple comment about placing the information in the correct place (who knows, it may even help to up the participation if it’s correctly and easily located) and people start name calling.

I guess my point however poorly made was starting a new thread not a report thread just to complain about non report threads in fishing reports section seems redundant and for some reason self serving. As it turned out just another thread promoting the tournement you are compalining about being promoted. Hmm interesting maybe on purpose i don’t know you internet wizards have me confused. Not name calling simple if the shoe fits comment! Wish i was fishing i must be very bored to have even responded but jeffs a good guy so why not!

I agree with Nasty Dawg, Local Boy and the others supporting you on this. It’s a worthy cause and a well organized event. I thoroughly enjoyed it last year and hope something works out this weekend. In my opinion some people may have to much time on their hands if they’re trying to police a forum board. No offense nor personal attacks intended.

**Shore - “The land along the edge of a sea, lake, broad river, etc”
Well if I’m reading this right, when you put it together it would be a place that is away from the land along the edge of a sea…
HMMM…Sounds like anything off the beach line would be considered “Offshore”…
