Is it just me or does something not add up in this thread…
If your loved ones weren’t worried because you were maintaining contact all day via VHF, Why and How were you listed overdue? I could care less how well you fish, but speaking from experience, it’s better to let some one on the hill know your plans. I know for a fact assets will get launched for an overdue vessel when in actuality there was no distress or communication. They don’t know your plan, they just go because the majority of boaters have no plan.

I do not want credit for your catch, and I by no means was under the impression that I contributed to it.
You’re missing it totally.
Why would I have told you 85% of what I knew about catching swordfish if I didn’t want to see you successful? If I had wanted you to use rigs I had made, I would have given you a half dozen I have hanging up. That is not why I replied to your email the way I did. I replied because I knew you would try regardless of whether I tried to help or not. I wanted you to be safe and successful. I expected ■■■■■■■■ to make myself better, and that can only come from someone else’s experience and perspective. When I got nothing at all back but see you relishing in success without mention of anyone else, then it rubbed me the wrong way indeed. Almost like I had been used. Again- not because of the credit- because I got no reply at all. No discussion about my opinions being wrong or anything you learned or anything at all.
Credit here has nothing to do with it. You caught the fish on your boat. You report what you want. What you do offline is another matter. I see you as a good fisherman who gets on the water a lot. I don’t see you as “LSK.”
I think that maybe you view a lot of us as enemies when are not. We would have gone out looking for you if uscg had given a last known position and you’d stayed overdue. We do that for one another as a community as well as share information.
I’m sorry you think I’m being childish, but you seem to stay on top of things here on the forum, so that is why I wanted to know if you were born awesome or if you ever planned to give anyone credit besides yourself in your reports.
As far as getting you goes, I don’t want you/that. It’s called fishing not catching. I only put a lionfish in the box the last time I went fishing. Who cares?

I was running back in @ 35 knots when the CG tried to raise me so I did not hear them. I called my dad on the radio before I headed back so he knew I was underway and so he said to the coast guard.

I read a lot more into finns post than are you ok? If he was that worried about here why didn’t he just call her to see?
To me all of these threads turn into the same thing.
A calling out/intervention. However, I get the feeling the overall premise of all this bashing is for the safety of others. I don’t think anyone is jealous of her, but I have been wrong before.
