That’s a serious mess of fish! Haven’t seen a cooler full of ARS in a while.
“Why Bruce?”
That’s a nice haul. Our crew fished out of that marina a few years ago. Other than the weather this time of years that’s some good fishing. Ran after yellow fins.

Down there, a cooler full of ARS is an everyday sight. C’mon down!

Spaghetti, hotdogs, steak… all good dinner options as well.
Not trying to be “that dick guy”,…but putting the gulf reports in the SC INSHORE REPORT section at times seems to get a little tiresome. I have family down there and go and slay the fish a couple of times a year at least. I just think this is a forum for SC Fishing. Maybe I’m alone here…flame away… I think we need a report section for fish caught elsewhere.
Harold, I don’t think I could fish with you for one reason…There’d be too much work to be done when we got back to the dock! LOL!! Would I get made fun of if I just wanted to stretch my string and then throw some back? HaHaHa!! Serious haul, brother!
God bless the “ignore” function.
i am pretty positive that I have stayed in the house boat to the right a couple times. Straight accross from that 38 topaz. And ignore the post from “that dick guy above”.
I went back and checked the name of the forum and it doesn’t specify “SC” anywhere. Just says “Inshore Reports.”
God bless the “ignore” function.
Great pics. I’d rather see any report than no report, especially since site traffic has slowed down!

Did you go all the way back and check the name of the entire site too? Just curious.

So by that approach, I guess Admin should delete every forum under the “To the South” section and the “To the North” section along with the Lakes Greenwood, Hartwell, Jocassee, Marion, Moultrie, Murray, Secession, Clarks Hill, Wateree, and Wylie forums since none of them pertain to “Charleston Fishing.” Staying with the “Charleston Fishing” theme, Admin should also delete Summerville Saltwater Anglers, Greenville Saltwater Sportfishing Club, and Midlands Striper Club forums. Since this is the “Charleston Fishing” forum, the hunting forum and the hunting reports forum have to go too. Last but not least, using this philosophy, everything under the “Non-Fishing” forum would have to go too since this the “Charleston Fishing” website.
Sound about right? Just curious.

They are here right now. We used to catch them all the time back in the day and then they just stopped showing up. They have been seeing the schools in the harbor since about late June. Daybreak and after teh afternoon thunderstorms are teh best times to go looking. Basically anytime the slicks off. If you are patient, you can always catch some menhaden and anchor behind Castle Pinkney or behind Drum Island in the usual spots and maybe get lucky. You will know where just by the people already there!

Doesn’t sound right at all. Read what you wrote again slowly and then tell me what the title of the forum would be where a Gulf coast fishing report would go?
Just a kinda personal note: Y’all don’t pick on Harold for what he catches! Everyone on this site could go where he goes, and catch what he does if you work as hard and SMART as he did. And no-body gave him anything. On top of that, I never knew anyone who knew him who didn’t like him.

Wayne, you can fish with me any time. These days, I throw back more than I keep. When I have friends who come and want to take a mess of fish home, I try to help 'em do that.

I am from SC, and was fishing the SC coast exclusively when I joined this site in 2001. I was always of the impression that it was a fishing site that happened to be located in Charleston. I’ve always enjoyed talking with like minded folks, regardless of where they happen to live at the time and regardless of where they last fished. I enjoy discussing baits and techniques that probably have a universal application. I’ve always been willing to share any knowledge or ideas I have that may help someone else. The last thing I want to do is offend anyone or come across as a know-it-all. I have to admit I was a little surprised to hear that my posts were “tiresome.” In looking back at the total posts I’ve made over the past 16 years, the number is very small, relatively speaking. If my few posts are out of place, I’d appreciate hearing it from a site administrator.
