mock draft & DW4

I was looking over a mock draft prediction a few minutes ago. Fox Sports has Mitch Trubisky going #2 overall to the 9ers and DW4 going 6th to the Jets.
In the commentary he writes "Watson isn’t even the second-best quarterback in this class, in my opinion, but he’s extremely high character and teams will overlook some significant faults because of his intangibles. The Jets are a mess and Watson will be viewed as the man who can right the entire organization. If they get the best version of No. 4, he might just do that. But if those flaws become even more apparent at the next level, this will be another Jets bust. Needs: Quarterback, outside linebacker, cornerback. "

I tend to disagree, considering back to back appearances in the CFB Championship, losing one and winning one.

Give me your thoughts guys. I don’t see Trubisky as all that and a bag of chips.

They sure have a lot of faith in a QB that didn’t accomplish 1/4 of what Watson did.

First, Most, Biggest

Kind of what I was thinking

Boat drinks, Waitress I need 2 more boat drinks!

Several mock drafts don’t even have him going in the first round. He did have some decision making issues against some crappy opponents last year.

AJ McCarron won back to back NCAA Championships and has done nothing in the NFL. College success at QB does not translate to success in the NFL. I would like to see the gentleman be successful at the next level and prove the naysayers wrong.

AJ McCarron gained 6,267 yard and 59 touchdowns in his last 2 seasons. He started 3 seasons and played 4.

Watson gained 10,436 yards and 97 touchdowns in his last 2 seasons. All after tearing an ACL and only playing 3 season.

AJ McCarron rode the coattails of his RB’s and defense. Watson shouldered an enormous amount of the burden himself.

First, Most, Biggest

I used AJ as example where success in college does not translate to success in the NFL. Only time will tell if the “experts” are right on their opinion of Watson. Like I said earlier, I would like to see Watson be successful at the next level and prove the naysayers wrong.

Yes, Watson shouldered an enormous amount of the burden himself while at Clemson. If he goes to the Jets he will be expected to produce/play right out of the gate.

I have seen where Watson taken #2 to SF. Watson is going to participate in the combine and throw, so it will be interesting how he performs

Most important no matter where he goes he is going to get paid.

He may or may not shine at the combine. The intangible is his work ethic.

He will be a top 10 pick and will be a winnner in the NFL. Mock drafts are always a joke.

Dude was bored against the crappy teams and was looking ahead.

I think he’s sandbagging so the Browns don’t pick him. :stuck_out_tongue:
