MOJO '78 Mako 25 Rebuild - Got my Mojo workin

After some time away from the boat and thinking, I believe I will go with one of the earlier sort of cockpit plans with a single livewell in the center of the transom rather than a livewell on each side of the transom. Think I will like an aluminum leaning post rather than a larger fiberglass one also. Palmetto Trooper, I’ve got more work for you!

As always, not a problem. Scott and I figured you would have it in the water by now anyway, whats up with that?

I think that vehicles home is in charlotte. It was at a bar one night i frequent here by my house and it was parked out front. There were two guys eating dinner there in full costume.

Your prob right, there was two guys in the car all decked out when we passed them.

It will be in the water this fall.

If not, I may have to think about walking away from it. Sacrificed too much on it already, and it seems to be getting harder instead of easier. I know others have sacrificed to help me too so I don’t want to let people down. I really want to take everyone fishing and show them what the boat can do!

This project is a giant metaphor for most of my fishing trips I guess. Usually lots of hard work and things to overcome. Then, it all comes together, and everyone on the boat understands why I refused to give up.

WILL BE worth it!

Hope we can help you out!!!

Hey man the motor runs and it floats! Do I really need anything else?

Yes they are just sketched in ms paint.

I like that boat, but it suffers from a severe lack of electronics and rod holders for a boat its stature.
:stuck_out_tongue:

As far as live well, when I need more, a portable will go on the transom. Threaded outlet for water feed will be on the aft cockpit wall, and the overflow will just go overboard out of the well. Typically won’t need more than the main transom well.

Jason got the rest of the stbd hull sanded. Tough old paint gone and gelcoat ready to build on.

Got some more coring cut out and trimmed some salvaged parts from a junk boat to make my fish box liner bottoms.

Looks good Phin keep it up.

fish nude so u can show off ur pole…

Got most of the cockpit deck support coring leveled off and rounded over last night.
Next comes the forward deck support and strengthening stuff around the console and the fwd seating and livewell area.
Hopefully not much more time before I take all the core back out so the boat can be vacuumed and whiped thouroughly before glassing.

Starting to look like a boat again. She’s going to be really strong when you’re done.

That’s some nice work right there :sunglasses:
