Took the family out to fish the jetties near the fort on Sullivan’s island around high tide. Live shrimp on bottom with a 1 1/2 oz weight near the rocks. Had no luck accept for a couple bites but my son had fun. Some Boys from Savannah were down there wearing out some 8+ foot sharks. They were with coastal anglers salt water team. Talked to a couple of them and they seemed like some nice guys. They have a Facebook page as well.

That shark is as good as dead. Blood was pouring out the gills
I’m not sure what was worse, watching the Gorton fish stick guy in the ridiculous white boots or the fat guy doing the WWE straddle.
Just use non stainless hooks and cut the line, the hook will rust out quickly.
It is this type of behavior that will get LBSF banned for all of us in South Carolina.
This is painful to watch. who the hell needs waders. its the middle of july lol
Pulled in to park at sullivans one evening, saw that same guy hooked up to a shark with a large conventional. Actually heard him groaning and moaning and screaming when i opened the truck. Walked out there and he was hooked up and had a crowd of about 15 beachwalkers gathered around watching. Hes definately something… He wanted it to be known he was hooked up and wanted some attention. after all that show, he pulls a 4’ sandbar on the beach.

I was told once by another LBSF guy that would be considered bycatch.
But I agree, definitely funny stuff.
Non stainless hooks do not rust out fast enough for the health of the fish. Thats how they get mouth diseases and die later on. Barbless circle hooks and a dehooking tool. And boltcutters for when that fails.
No matter how many variables I have control over, I never expect a bite. I only hope.
How the heck does that guy fish in waders with boots on this time of year? Id die.
