I’ve gone to Monkey Island about a dozen times. We probably see wildlife 1/2 the time. I haven’t seen any Monkeys the past two years…

Are they still around? Has anyone been recently and seen any?

They were there end of last shrimping season. I’m sure someone can give a more recent report. Doubt they would be gone though.

We were out there Wednesday and saw a few monkeys by the dock.

took the children over there yesterday and didn’t see anything. went this time last year and they were everywhere. i guess its just hit or miss, just have to try your luck. they are still there though.

With the econemy this bad mabe they are being caught and sold to chinese restraunts!

try getting there in the afternoon or morning when that suns not baking the bluff side in the creek, i have seen more on my afternoon Boose cruises then in the mid day… they are hit and miss though.

Thanks all. We went on Saturday and didn’t see any. There were probably 3 people on the island doing work where we were. They had a Bobcat taking down some shed or cages. Needless to say all this activity around the cabin & dock did not help. Still a fun time!
