Lines in about 9:30. First thing I noticed was Crabs everywhere in the surf. Not Blues, I think they were Lady Crabs? Shaped like a Blue only speckled, they were paired up. I thought it would be a good Black/Red drum day…not. It was a Bonnethead Shark day. Hooked 5, landed 3 with some small Whiting, baby Sharks and one Small Blacktip. Lots of pilgrams on the beach, left about 1:30.
Bonnetheads love those crabs. We caught also caught a bonnet head two blacktips and a really nice red in the 30 inch range.
I got quite a few bonnetheads on crabs and menhaden the other day. Everyone seems to be catching a lot of shark.

Yes Sir Mr. Parker the pilgrims are in full swing. The connecter is getting pretty busy on the weekends. Love me a nice Bonnethead, saved the day for me more than once. I’m having little luck with the reds thus far this year only a couple of small ones. Allot of hours and few fish. No lack of trying. Take care Sir:smiley:
