This Red was caught on a 10/0 Owner 3X circle and whole 6" whiting for bait.

I tried the surf on IOP that evening. I’d picked up some fresh shrimp with the plan of catching a whiting to then put on the shark rig. I got rained on twice, the current kept carrying my bait down the beach, and I never got a single bite. I threw in the towel after 45 minutes, went home and cooked the rest of my bait for dinner.
