I’m thinking about fishing off the Mount Pleasant “pier” tomorrow and was wondering where the best place to get bait was? Also, what kind of bait would you recommend?
They have bait there, but it is all frozen. Otherwise, google haddrells point or charleston angler. Both in mt. P.

I decided to come to Folly Pier. i only have a 12’ pole with me so i figured i would get laughed off of Mt. Pleasant. haha Several shark and a nice Trout are about all that’s been caught.
Why would they laugh? They are just jealous of your big pole.
Hahaha I’m new so I’m trying to get the regulars to take me under their wing and show me the ropes. I don’t want them to figure out I’m a dumbass already!
its not as bad as youd think with most of em. i came here as a saltwater dumbass AND a northerner and learned the ropes just fine and havent had really any trouble with anyone ive found fishing.
I’ve liked most everybody I’ve met so far and they have been alot of help! Today a guy named Steve showed me how to make the rigs with steel leaders so I’m scratching at the bit to get my mackeral poles from VA!
