Mountaineer returns to Edisto

Hello folks!
I’ll be back on Edisto next week for another adventure! Unfortunately its a short week due to a weekend work trip, but if anyone has an open seat Tuesday July 15 - Friday July 18 give me a holler, please!

For those scratching their heads, check out my somewhat epic post from last year: http://old.charlestonfishing.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=137991

Looking forward to more stories to share.

Thoroughly enjoyed your posts last year Ryan. Looking forward to reading about your adventures on this years trip. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting any of the good folks who are fellow members of this website but I’ll be surprised and disappointed if one of them doesn’t get you on the water this year. I’d be happy to do it myself, however responsibilities and financial restraints are keeping me here in the upstate for the foreseeable future. Sadly, the fact is you would catch a lot more fish with just about anyone else anyway. If I had too live on what I catch I would starve.

Ryan…be sure to keep us updated on your adventures this year !

Sent you a pm with my new cell number. I have to work all week but I could probably line up a scenic sunset tour and maybe try some docks for a roaming red.

Well folks, so far I’ve been taking it relatively easy having a true “Edislow” vacation.
Not altogether a bad thing.
Monday evening I flew in after a decent rain shower, and Tuesday I spent the better part of the day putting my road bike together and rigged up (and getting over some minor jet lag).
Got in a decent lap around the island before a wicked storm hit, and spent the evening catching up on House of Cards season two.
More lounging Wednesday, with a longer ride in the afternoon, dinner at the Waterfront, and an evening sunset beach stroll.
Considering either a kayak trip from Steamboat landing or perhaps I will finally try to surf fish, though I have no idea what I’m doing (though I readily admit that’s the best part about my writings) after an afternoon ride.

Likely more of the same tomorrow, though I may call a few charters in the off chance they have an open spot for an inquisitive bearded dude.
Sorry for the lack of humorous adventures thus far. The shortened week has a lot to do with it. Going to make something fun happen in the next 36 hours.
