Moved closer to Edisto and hoping to surf fish

Hi All,
Never posted here before. Most of my fishing has been done on Folly. But I just bought a house in Ravenel so I’m equal distance to Edisto now. I’m an amateur at best and I mostly fish with my wife and 5 kids in tow. I also have high hopes for catching larger sharks from the beach but I know that season is winding down soon. Just wondering if anyone would be so kind to share some decent surf fishing spots on Edisto. I’ve only lived here since February of this year and I’ve not been to Edisto once. So I"m not even sure about parking access or anything else. I’m excited about it because I hate crowds and I hear Edisto is much more secluded compared to the beaches to the North of Edisto.

If you are willing to offer any tips I’d greatly appreciate it. I realize this isn’t the pier and surf forum so I hope you don’t mind me posting here. I’m still learning about troughs and how to find them etc and I guess it will take me a year or two to figure out the local fishing here. I love surf fishing and have since a kid but only once a year. My catching has always consisted of catching whiting and spots which I love to eat, but I’m ready to advance and catch some bigger fish.

Thanks for reading!

You can’t catch 'um on the couch!

I like the beach at the state park. There is some oyster beds and mud bars you can see at low tide between the park and jeremy inlet. I dont know how much a year pass is for the park but if i lived closer I would definately check into it. I heard the fishing is great around the inlet when the weather starts cooling. Edisto is pretty friendly when it comes to beach access being that there is one on every block with parking at most.
