Fished Mt. P pier sunday. Got there about 0830 fished with live shimp, finger mullet,and some small spots. Did not do well at frist until tide changed. Then I got a small Pompino on live shrimp. Had to give up on Shrimp to many pin fish. Swichted to small spots and finger mullet. Nothing happening until about 2 then I hooked a small jack. With jack in hand other rod takes off. Grabed that rod with one hand will holding jack. This is a good one peeling drag. Throw back jack from left hand while holding rod with right. After about 10 mimutes of gain about a foot of line lose about 2 to 4 foot fish finaly brakes me off. Fished about another 2 1/2 hours. Getting ready to leave when I get another on on. Landed a 29 inch red. No more bait time to go. All and all a slow day but worth it.
