Caught a nice 16" trout on live shrimp under a cork. Also caught a nice whiting that went in the cooler. Accidentally caught a blue crab, which i broke into pieces and used for bait. Two minutes later I watched my favorite rod go flying over the rail to the bottom of the harbor. Something big hit that crab and hit it hard. I really loved that rod, but other than that a good day. Very windy.
Had same thing happen but after 20 minutes caught my own rod, handed to someone standing by and he reeled in big ray. Same thing happen to him few minutes later, caught his rod , I started reeling in his fish but line cut on the oyster bed.
I tried that for about 15 minutes but no luck.
Lotta sharks in that area.

I had a 10’ Ugly Stik out there testing it out and about lost it to a 26" Red last year but landed him
