looking for mullet, the eating size. what time of year is best and what places to look. creeks, grass, ship channel? would like to get some nice 15+ inchers if possible.
I have been seeing a TON of huge mullet in the creeks, always near fast moving water/bridges and tressels. There have been so many i’ve been accidentally snagging them w/ a jig head. At least 12" fish. Would be tough to cast net though, definitely within range, but they are all hanging out around lots of rocks and oysters.

oh cool. i will have to make a quick run out and look around a bit. father in law smokes them up, but they are so expensive and not fresh at any of the local seafood markets. i have a $30 10’ net just for that purpose. oysters and rocks no problem. thanks for the heads up.
