Where is the gap?

Oh my KK1. That’s like asking someone on here"Where is the grillage?"
If you are coming up the lake, as you pass Dreher Island State park, it narrows a bit. That’s The Gap. Some folks call that the Big Gap. The Little Gap is going into Chrystal lake section.

Where do you buy live gizzard shad?
MM
Just curious - (not being a smart a**) - why is this in the salt water section?
Do they not have a section for this in the fresh water area?
Again, not being a smart a** - I’m asking a legit question.
Just trying to learn every bit I can about saltwater fishing…
Striper definately earn a spot under saltwater.
Landlocked or not!
Congrats on the catch.
Did you catch your own gizzard? Seems everyone is out this time of year.

Tag a long, my friend (with new boat) brought them with.He was fishing at Hartwell the prior evening.I don’t know were you can buy shad on Murray. We ended up with herring from big birds(1 hr. later than the guy said they would be there)
hey edisto9871 or whatever; this is the striper section. it does not read saltwater or freshwater. unfortunately you were not being a smart%^#^. just a dumb@$#. could not help it. had to do it.
Wow !.. Hey Edisto…just take that as “welcome to the club”…If your looking for info on salt-stripes… maybe Willy will post-whore up some

Get him coolbreeze. You been doing any fishing lately?
coolbreeze, I think you owe edisto an apology. He is correct. If you go to CharlestonFishing.com home page, you will find both a saltwater and a freshwater forum. The striper forum is listed under the saltwater forum just as edisto said. I realize this site does have some saltwater striper fishermen that post, but the majority of the posts are from Lake Murray. I believe comments like these have driven away many of the striper fishermen from this forum that we could have all benefited from if we all just tried to be a bit nicer.
macue whatever…I’ll fill in on this one for coolbeeze …“what the @#$% are you (with only 17 posts) doing questioning the great and mighty WILLY” … oh wait… that was a response from someone to me…Ya just got to get your skin a little thicker to hang out with some of these ol’ salts

mudball,
Now that we have that settled, “where is the grillage” LOL! Actually I live at the lake and fish it all the time and kinda figured that was the gap and have heard it a million times just wanted to be sure.
Edisto,
Striper were originally salt-water fish until landlocked in Santee many a year ago. Now in SC stripers are in the salt and freshwater in the rivers and the lakes. They are every-where. That is why this forum is in the salt-water section of Charlestonfishing.com
Fisherman, Hunters, and other Liars gather here!
The real problem is DNR forget to tell them where the freshwater/saltwater dividing line is. So they could care less and so do I. Does it really make any difference if it is posted in the saltwater side? I never see this ‘calling out’ on any other boards. Just saltwater. Must be the sand in their panties. JUST FISH and HAVE FUN…Don’t tell anyone but shrimp season is just around the corner. Now I’ll shut-up.
