Do you have a bedder making those rows, or angling the disc?
I disc it up first, then fertilize if i need to. Then I lay out the black material over one of the rows created during discing. Then i just run beside it and the disc harrow will push the dirt over the edge of the black material pinning it in place.
It doesnât always work perfect of course, but when it does I look like a genius!
Playing the long game. BIL is on year 5 I think, said he got 5-6lbs this spring
First blueberry started turning color today, blackberries are flowering
You wonât regret it!
Only thing I can add
Is donât be scared to rip one up if it ainât doing right
And replace it
That is one good looking boy
I remember those days
Congrats
I wish I knew how to put down that weed barrier like you big dog
Fried my first squash Wednesday with the redbreast
I like to put out a few early ones to get things started
Same with cucumbers
I canât control my weeds otherwise. I use the hoe a little bit, but i have to be able to run the disc by it or else itâll drive me crazy and overtake. Especially with the pumpkins in the fall.
Mr S thatâs a fine mess of brims
Iâll be in the swamp in a couple weeks, but for now I was able to get to the jetties and snag a bunch of whiting up to 1 1/4lbs on Friday, fun action and gets crispy fried tonight
My blueberries are starting to come in pretty good, most lettuce has gotten bitter and needs to come out so I can dig up the garlic. BILâs rabbits benefit on that one. The garlic Iâve pulled just turned into a bigger single clove in the shape of an onion⌠maybe I was just late planting? I donât hate it, theyâre huge and easy to peel!
The garlic likely didnât get cold striated, thatâs why you get those big singles.
We call them elephants, and often grow them on purpose
Did you start with seed garlic or plant clove sections you had?
Edited to add, I forgot who I was talking to. The garlic needs vernalization to make cloves.
Awesome, thanks! Knew I could get an answer on here.
I used the biggest outer cloves when the Teeter was dumping last yearâs heads for 50 cents
Next year put the ones on sale in the fridge for 45 days, maybe two months tops.
Bust them apart and get them in the ground mid January, best guess for down there.
But the g big ones, like you said, are great to deal with
Oil on medium heat, chopped garlic and thin sliced onion until opaque, sliced taters in the mix till good and brown. Thatâs what they serve as a side dish in heaven
Thatâs all I got
Before you know it, your kids will be out fishing you.
