My new (to me) boat!

I went and got my first center console today and feel very accomplished because I’m only 17 and saved up and bought this boat on my mine without financial assistance from my parents. The boat is a 1996 sundance 1900 center console that is 19’2" long. I really like this boat and hope its a great first center console for me.

Congratulations! Great looking boat

Thanks. I plan to use it for stripers down in your area on lake murray as I’m only about an hour from there and also we want to make some trips down to the coast and do some inshore fishing. We always come down to isle of palms one week every summer and we will be bringing this with us this year

Congrats!

Thanks and I went and picked up a few more life jackets and other safety equipment today. Thanks for helping us last year when we came down and brought the little 14 ft. That’s the small boat in the background

Good for you. It is great to see a young person with the drive and determination to work hard for something you want. Keep that kind of attitude and you’ll go far. Good luck fishing!

I had a Sundance F16…great all around boat and I couldn’t kill it. It’s still running in Lake Marion to this day. Congrats!

Congrats man. Excellent job at setting a goal and working towards it. Now you get to enjoy the payoff of that hardwork. Great life lesson to learn at 17!

Awesome!

I bought my first boat a 1988 Mako 21’ CC when I was 16 and in high school paid with my funds too. Make sure all the preventative maintenance things have been done.

I admire a 17 year old who will work in order to purchase such a thing. You will enjoy this boat far more than some other guy who’s parents bankroll them into oblivion.

Awesome boat!

Saying “I am offended” is telling everyone else that you cannot control your own emotions, and thus you need everyone else to do it for you.

Congrats young man; you will enjoy that boat. I probably do not need to tell you but please; respect the water. it is bigger than you. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and plain old common sense goes a long ways. Happy for you. There is not a better feeling than knowing that if you want to hit the water; all you got to do is hook it up; back it up; crank it up and go.

My first boat was in 1973 after I came back from s.e. asia/Hawaii from the air force. 15’ MFG with 35 Johnson Seahorse. old boat but reliable. Have had probably 8-10 since then. this 19’ SeaPro CC is probably my last one.

Congratulations ! That’s the way you do it.

I have a couple things to say

  1. Congrats to you Upstateyakker
  2. Thanks to all that have posted positive comments… It’s nice to see there are still kind people out there!!!
