I think we met one morning out at IOP and I kayaked a bait out for you right after you got your new ink on your leg and could not get in the water. We should try and catch up some time, swap stories and drown some bait.

Hey Iggy, thanks for video helps allot of us still learning. I saw you used the mojo 11 ft paired with penn spinfisher 8500 for lighter shark set up. Were you happy with this for casting for blacktips and such and is this set up overkill if I want to use for my red fishing too? I was also wondering why you picked mojo over the avid series. mojo has 5yr and avivd has lifetime warranty but costs about 100 bucks more. Is it a better pole ? Im fixin to replace an a rod and want to make right decision as this is big investment.

I don’t have the spinfisher anymore ( I use conventional reels now for my sharking ), it’s a good reel for a spinning setup for sharks, it will handle blacktips just fine. For redfish, yea it will be overkill unless they are the bull reds.
I went with Mojo because a friend had them, and I tried them out and loved them.Very light weight rod, and great action.

What is with all the Penn Bias? I am sorry but I am yet find a penn that can even compare to my Stella/saragosa/stradics. That’s just my opinion though.

I originally bought the Penn 8500LL from a friend, because I wanted the live liner ability for circle hooks and to easily set the drag to where i wanted it.
Conventional reels are obviously better for this, but if you want the ease of a spinner, and are going to use it for live bait or circle hooks, the live liner is a nice feature.

Iggy thanks for advice, much appreciated feel much better about my decision.
