Nearshore

Took a friend of mine as well as his daughter and new Hubby out thursday, then his other daughter joined us on friday for a trip to the nearshore 45 and Eagles Nest.

We surely caught well over 400 fish. Limits on the BSB’s with porgies, grunts, ect. mixed in. Caught a small gag and Red Snapper as well.

My buddies daughter caught a 3.14lb Toadfish…took it by Pt Royal Landing Marina to get entered in the yearlong tourney…yes, they weigh them and have an entry for Toadfish[:0]!

These folks had an absolute riot pulling in fish non-stop. Had a great fish fry as well. Man those Sea Bass are awesome eating:stuck_out_tongue:!

I dropped a cobia magnet jig I got down on some structure but no takers…yet:smiley:!

By the way, his daughters new Hubby is one of the most respectful people I have ever met…must be a southern thing, he’s from South Korea lol.

Can’t wait to get out deep!

Edit; There was a radio conversation thursday from someone at the Ross about being hooked up with something big that would get close then take off again…this went on for a looooong time with someone saying they had to hand off the rod…anyway, it turned out to be a Dusky shark hung in the pec fin with a bucktail jig. It was fun listening in on that.

Good report Glenn-sounds like the fish are getting all dialed in to that “new” boat.

3+lb toadfish??..pics???

I know I have my moments cussing out an occasional Oriental driver on the road, but I also know that after working with several in my lab that they are generally the most courteous people around with a work ethic that far out does most.

…now where are the cobias???

Thanks for the report Glenn. Glad you made it down safe and had a good day of fishing!
