Need an extra deckhand?

Hello everybody,

My name is Justin and i just recently moved to the Beaufort area. I am an avid fisherman and spend just about all of my off time and money on fishing  If anyone here fishes out of the area and is ever looking for someone to help with fuel/bait/cleanup costs for their boat I would gladly be of assistance. I have a bit of experience with offshore trolling and jigging and more inshore experience but I would really appreciate the chance to learn some more and most importantly would greatly appreciate a chance to do some fishing from a boat! I look forward to hearing back from you!

Tight Lines!

Hey Justin, Whats your age? I just recently moved to the general area too and own a 218 Sailfish/225 Yamaha 4 Stroke. I’ve got all the gadgets but don’t know the waters well!

A Salt Weapon,

Thanks for the reply! I am 30 and I am stationed at the MCAS in Beaufort but live in Bluffton. I have been studying the NOAA charts to Port Royal Sound and the HHI offshore areas and there are definitely some interesting features worth prospecting.

Welcome Guys.

Thanks DoubleN!

Thanks for the welcome! I fished the FishAmerica reef and whitewater reef yesterday. NOTHING. Just one spade, and shark/catfish city. I probably just don’t know how to fish out there. Tried live menhaden on the bottom and trolling clark spoons. Nothing but wasted gas! Well, not wasted because I was still on the water, but still. I need help fishing around here!

try fiddler crabs or live shrimp at the general gordon wreck for sheephead and weakfish.
Also the marshes and feeder creeks on the right hand side of beaufort river nearest port royal sound with cut mullet and shrimp. Trout and redfish. Station creek should be hot right now also
