Tried to find a route from Harbor River to Otter Island at low tide, found lots of dry sand, had to go off shore to get around , is there a better way! Thanks in advance!
At half tide or less, you have to go inshore of Morgan (monkey) Island up the ICW then out either Combahee River or Rock Creek.

Go out of Harbor and follow channel markers behind Egg Bank heading toward Morgan Is. Once you get 1/4-1/2 mile past Egg Bank you can cut straight across if it’s calm. There is more high ground on closer to Morgan at low tide. If you don’t want to chance that then go to back of Morgan and cut thru Parrot Cr and come out in Coosaw. Then it’s a straight shot over to Combahee Light and then on to Otter Is.
