How much fuel will she hold???I may have missed this but what do you plan on for power??She looks great…One more question and Ill leave you be…Have you picked a name out for Her yet???

Lets cross some Eyes.

Fuel load is 125 gal. which should give us about a 300 mile range. Some may argue that’s not enough fuel but iv talked to many major builders and they say all these new 25’ to 30’ boats carrying 200 plus gallons of fuel is just a big war between the manufactures trying to out due each other. The extra 700 + pounds of unnecessary fuel will hurt the mpg more than you would think. It will have twin suzuki 150 4 strokes. This should give us easily 2.5 mpg efficiency and a top speed of about 48 mph. Were using the same theory with the power. Most boats this size have twin 250 that weigh a couple hundred pounds more and if lucky might get one or two trips a year where conditions are good enough they can use the power to go faster than what the 150s will push it anyways. Theory is to build an affordable good looking boat that has the million dollar sportfisher look by cutting out the unnecessary price driving items. That being said, we are splurging on about a 10k garmin electronics package. And no, it doesn’t have a name at this point. Thanks for all the great compliments.

What kind of transducer???

Thank you for answering my Dumb Questions.

Lets cross some Eyes.

Well it has been a very grueling last month with all the fairing, sanding, and painting but its all starting to come together. Now to the fun stuff! I will post some more pics of the hardware installed in the next week or so.

A little more interior progress. Just need to caulk border seems and teak flooring is done. Next is stainless cooler liners, upholstery, finish wiring, build hard top, and then off to get the t-top aluminum work done.

It’s going to take me a while to catch my breath. Wow! :stuck_out_tongue:

That is awesome. What a beautiful boat!!!

Guys after seeing the hard wo rk and dedication firsthand going into this boat, they have really stepped up to another level of standards. Even the tape lines are perfectly straight. Joel and Kalin have more drive than anyone I know. I can’t wait for the first ride on the water. They have sacrficiced many late nights to get this boat com pleted in their time frame goal and I think it is a reality. You just have to see the quality craftsmanship for yourself.

Wanna kill fish, then let’s go!

superb boat. cleanest looking center console I’ve ever seen.

please keep us updated as your work continues.

thank you for the pictures

Beautiful Job. What a craftsman!!! Enjoy the pictures

Finally, done and ready to fish. Its been a long nine months since I started cutting the hull pieces out last summer but Im so excited to get it broke in. Iv got about 10 run in hours now and have had no issues at all except a blown fuse on the trim tabs which was to small anyways. The boat gets about 2.2 mpg @ 35 mph and will probably top out at about 52 or 54. Iv had it up to 48 in a small chop. After the first time on plain I understand why everyone loves that carolina flair and sharp entry. The ride was awesome. Here are a few pictures. Hope you like it. I have lived in this boat it seems and cant wait to hit the ledge. Anyone going this weekend?

Hell of a job! Did you do the Gelcoat work also. Do you have a porta pottie in the console? If you don’t mind my asking, what was the ball park figure for the material? More or less, than you thought going into the project. And the final and most important question! Does the wife know, how much it really cost?

Amazing job on your boat. Your hard work, planning, and execution humbles me to the utmost extent. Thanks for the timeline of pictures and get that thing BLOODY!!!

More than a boat…that is art.

That is an absolutely beautiful boat. It must(and well should)be an enormous source of self-satisfaction at being able to say you built her with your own hands.
Do me one favor…please…get rid of those Penns and hose clamps you’re using for teaser reels…that boat is screaming for something nicer and I’d hate to see that powder coating on your T-top scratched. I use these…it looks and works great:
