I live in Myrtle Beach and new to spearfishing. I have around 20 logged dives in up to 100+ feet of water in everywhere from the gulf to the carribean. I am far from an expert but for the most part, I am comfortable diving in most places. I am not nitrox certified yet but hope to be soon. I just got an older 6+ ? foot pole spear.
I have access to a pontoon boat in a Little River marina but it won’t go out of the jetties. I would like a little more info./guidance on spearfishing in general and more specifically in Little River. The simple stuff like regulartions/dive flag? I am working on a boat that I may take out in M.I. Any suggestions for Little River? Ideally I would like to shadow someone for a minute to learn the ropes.
