Hey guys looking for some locals on the island to introduce myself. My wife and I just purchased couple of acres at murphy creek on the left just before you get to the beach. Very excited to meet some new people and make some new friends and spend some quality time with my kids there not getting any younger lol ones in the Military another a Police officer another a Firemen and a daughter in Grad school at the Citadel, (**() I am getting old. Anyway the name is Corey looking forward to making some friends out there.

I love it here on the Edisto. I am a newbie myself having just moved here about 3 months ago. I like the rural lifestyle and closeness to the ocean that the Edisto offers. The waters around Edisto are beautiful and full of wildlife. I have never seen the diversity of birds around James island like I see here on Edisto.

Wicked, got any deer there? I have a pile that come in close and a few that actually get on the deck and eat the bird seed. You gotta be careful at night driving around here. Hopefully I can help the car insurance companies out some when archery season opens. Might as well fill the shrimp freezer with deer.
Oh yea Mattr, on the property I have a pond about an acre in size loaded up with tracks. If any of you guys want to make a trip to Berekely County near Pinopolis about an hour and a half from the beach I have a hunt club that we manage with nothing allowed to be harvested but six points or better or outside the ears, must be at least 3.5 to 4 years . I know it sounds restrictive but there is 10 of us divided into 3 groups and me and my son have 700 acres on our side, it’s a lease we don’t own it. Last year my son took a trophy 12 with a 6 inch base scored a 148 BC and also several 10 pts the last cople of years. We are allowed to Bucks a year and 7 does. SC Sportsman did an article on the 12 point with some pictures of my son, it was pretty cool. Not saying any of this to boast by no means so please do not take it that way. I am just making the case that if you guys got a chance and don’t mind making the short drive I will leave an open invite to Marsh, Matt, Optiker and Striker
Wicked, I may just take you up on the offer. My 12 year old son hasn’t killed a deer yet. I hunt for meat and have shot nice bucks but it would be really cool for him to get a nice buck for his first deer. I was a member of a club in holly hill but they had big problems with locals poaching deer. We spent thousands for food plots and they would go out at night and shoot them. They would leave gut piles in the fields.
