NFL Draft

With Scott getting picked up by the Chargers, happy to see all the Clemson boys found a home, for now. 6 on draft day and 4 in free agency.

Man, that former gamecock sure does love him some Clemson. Need to start calling them the Houston Tigers and get some orange on that uniform.

I see the Bengals loaded up on some young, fresh cellmates for Pacman…

The Bears gave away the farm to draft a QB that played 13 games in college. Man I’m glad I’m not a Bears fan. I’m really surprised it took Mike Williams and Dalvin Cook so long to get drafted. Fun fact, took a red-eye back from Seattle on Friday and met Daeshon Hall in the airport on his flight to Charlotte. He’d just been drafted by the Panthers at 77. He said he didn’t think he was even going to get drafted, and they traded up for him. It was cool seeing his whole family there. His momma was real proud haha.

Watching the Clemson fans meltdown on facebook during the draft was my highlight. The bias is strong with that fanbase, some of them felt like he was the #1 pick in the draft and were going nuts when he wasn’t getting picked. Personally I’m glad he is a Texan, they have been on the verge of being a decent team for a few years now, having been thru 4 or more QB’s in that time frame has been brutal. Hopefully DW4 can take them past the first round of the playoffs. JJ Watt will be back this year on the defensive side of the field so they should be fun to watch. Direct flights out of Charleston to Houston will be something to look into in the future.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

Funny that most of the fans/graduates I know weren't melting down at all. Kinda expected due to his "grade" as Geronimo said. Must've been bandwagoners.

And you’re right…easy/fairly cheap flight from Columbia

Jeez, where did you expect Williams to go? #7 and the second to go is pretty big for a WR. Usually unless you are Calvin Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald, a WR doesn’t crack the top 5. I was shocked to see a WR and RB in the top 5. But more shocked to see Trubisky go #2. It was a wild top 12. That’s a deep shade of orange on those glasses if you were shocked Williams didn’t get selected earlier. I was over the moon when I saw him go 7 to the Chargers.

I mean to say Tankersely, not Williams. I did figure Williams would be the first WR to go, but you're correct number 7 is not shocking.

I love all the haters already talking about him buying his mom a new car. He has been talking about her birthday surprise for weeks now, not like he went high in the draft and then started raining money. The dang car costs less than a Buick Enclave, but folks are already talking like he dropped $100k on a new car for mamma. Even if he did, dude is probably going to make around $13m, so what of it. That car was only about $45k, a very frugal purchase in my book. And I bet the house he gets in Houston will not be some million dollar casa.

I was surprised that the chiefs didn’t pick Watson but I was glad nobody else did. Watson and Williams are in good situations imo.

If he is coachable, he’s in the right place. If I was a mediocre linebacker looking to prove myself, I’d want to be taught and do it in front of the likes of Luke Keuchly and Thomas Davis for sure.

We shall see!

RFB what teams drafted coot players? Oh that’s right none of them. I hear the Columbia Sherrifs are thinking of picking up Skai Moore and Deebo. Same thing right?

Doesn’t change the fact ass digger didn’t get drafted. How many #1 draft picks has Clem ever had compared to SCar?

In all seriousness, it’s nothing about Clemson at all. I would poke fun of ass digger no matter what team he played on. He is going to get Boz’d in the NFL… Way overrated and the draft showed it… Heck, Lattimore was drafted in the 4th round and he could barely walk…

Deebo wasn't even there, but let's not facts get in the way of the fact spurrier left the cupboards empty.

Fact: Ass digger got drafted by the Texans.

Who is Watkins? Some kinda Dabo cross breeding of Watson and Wilkins… Lord have mercy… I’ve heard it all now…

Hopefully, Clowney will teach Wilkins how to put a boot in someone’s ass instead of his fingers… If Wilkin needs additional help understanding, he can call T. Boyd since Clowney lost his boots in his ass 4-5 times in one game…
