NFL Draft

Anyone watching tonight? Update this morning is that Cleveland is going to take Trubisky #1 overall. Talking heads are rolling on the floor laughing.

Best thing in the world for Watson. I know it will be a blow to him, but I am hoping he falls down to 20-32. Would love to even see someone like the Bills trade for a late round pick and grab him before the second, or the Texans.

But I think the Jets, 49ers or Bears will get desperate and take him high.

Watson to Houston.

Wooooo!!! Thank the Lord he did not go to Cleveland!

Amen! Was just a Nuke Hopkins fan, but now a full Texans fan. Didn’t go to Cleveland and doesn’t have to get crushed by Clowney. Win/Win.

Happy with the spot, great fit for him I think.

Also, the Panthers taking McCaffrey is a great pick as well.

The only two things I cared about really this draft…and happy with both of them.

Best of luck to DW4. Also, glad he didn’t go to Cleveland. He deserved better, and got it.

Steelers didn’t draft a dope smoker from Clemson or Ohio State…but we have a couple more rounds to go…

You’re welcome to trade Bryant to Houston. Kid is still crazy good, but I think he will not do well under Big Ben moving forward. Too many other options on the field, and Bell and Brown will always be the go to.

No, he’s a great option for the Squeelers. I just had to get a dig in for the hell of it…I just don’t understand, you get paid great $$ to catch a (**() ball, and all that’s asked of you is to stay clean and they can’t…

Not to open up a can of worms, but I would much rather have a couple of pot smokers on my team than the cheaters up in Boston.

Watching the Clemson fans meltdown on facebook during the draft was my highlight. The bias is strong with that fanbase, some of them felt like he was the #1 pick in the draft and were going nuts when he wasn’t getting picked. Personally I’m glad he is a Texan, they have been on the verge of being a decent team for a few years now, having been thru 4 or more QB’s in that time frame has been brutal. Hopefully DW4 can take them past the first round of the playoffs. JJ Watt will be back this year on the defensive side of the field so they should be fun to watch. Direct flights out of Charleston to Houston will be something to look into in the future.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

Agreed.

On the subject, what’s you all’s thoughts on allowing it? It’s been proven that it will considerably cut down on pain killer usage and other things…

Those folks are delusional. He should have still gone to the Texans at 25 based on his real grade, but everyone knows desperate teams over draft QBs and it causes a ripple effect. It should have gone Trubisky at 12 to Cleveland, Watson 25 to Texans, Mahomes 27 to Chiefs. But the Bears cost those teams a lot of picks with Trubisky at 2. The Bears sold the farm, and then bought it back with one guy. I would hate to be a Bears fan. Cleveland actually looks like a smarter organization this time around.

Marijuana should be illegal across all states recreationaly. Prescription only, as I see opiods as far worse. But no one should be using it for fun.

I hope the Bears trade Connor Shaw, hated seeing them take a qb with 2nd pick.

Maybe to the 49ers or Jets.

I was hoping he would make it past 12 and Cleveland and wind up on a decent team. I did not want him going to a ****ty team and getting killed and crucified by the fan base all at the same time. I don’t think it could have worked out any better, though.

We all will find out soon, as he will probably start right out of the gate.

A guy from my tiny high school in Woodruff, SC (near Spartanburg/Greenville) is Tory Dandy, he’s an NFL agent. He represented 3 of the first rounders. Mike Williams, Marshon Lattimore, Haason Reddick and a couple others this year that have yet to go.
We guesstimated his piece of the night was $1.4M based on their salary projections.
Crazy.

Drew Pearson was awesome.
