Nice Bull Red

Shea aka A Salt Weapon and I hit the water around 12 on Saturday. Weather was calling for 20 mph winds out the north east and I think they hit the nail on the head cause it was rough ALL day. Loaded the boat with mullet in just a few mins… Hit up Glenn on the trusty Icoms and met up with him at the bridge. Dropped 15 er so mullet off with him since we had plenty and we anchored up. Long story made short we moved around a few times and sat 6 solid hours on anchor. Finally this beautiful fish showed up at 6:55. Made sure it was good and ready sent it back to the depths to fight another day…

nice fish, good job on waitin it out in bad weather. Just a little hint, in the wind anchor on the other side of the bridge, and use a sinker slide with a lil mor weight to buck the tide.you will be more comfortable, and get the bites!! Nice fish!!

You like my mad photoshop skills? lol.

DoubleN, no problem man. We had more than enough. We were catching them big enough for the smoker!

Kingatic, I’ll try that out next time for sure! That monster screamed off the drag it was hella exciting. Up until that point all we were catching were undersized black tips. Well worth the long wait and many anchor mishaps! Good times, man.

Nice Fish!

King I’m not sure I undesatand the concept of anchoring on the other side of the bridge… The water was rough reguardless of which side you were sitting on. Maybe I am missing something… Feel free to explain better if you wish.
