We are coming down to Edisto on the 27th for a week. My brother may not have his boat fixed by then. You know how it goes - fix one thing then find something else that is broke. Are there any small boat rentals on Edisto. My brother and I both have had boats and plenty of experience. All I can find are kayak rentals and charter boats. We have a house on the water with its own ramp and dock all I need is a boat. We are not going out into the ocean. Only back water.
Any help is appreciated.

I don’t understand the responses. I am looking for a small boat to rent for a week at edisto. Is there a place that rents small boats to fish. Example — Most of the larger lakes have marinas that rent jon boats or other watercraft. Is there a place in Edisto that does the same?
try Bohicket Creek Boat Rentals. I am renting from them this weekend. They may let you rent all week and keep at your dock.
I tried renting from bohicket several years ago and they would only let you take their boats out in bohicket creek. I doubt you’ll find anyone in Charleston that will let you take one of their boats to Edisto. Try a google search of Beaufort, Hilton head or maybe Walterborough. There used to be a place in Beaufort called Boat and Camper rentals 843-228-7472. Good luck, hope you find a boat and have a blast

Not sure if Bohicket has the over night option, but I don’t believe there are any restrictions on where you take it. A lot of folks use them on the creeks and N Edisto.

Well sure enough it always goes this way. My brother gets the boat fixed runs great at the house, takes it for a lake test and doesn’t crank. Takes it home bad fuel pump. Puts in another fuel pump cranks at the house brings it to Edisto doesn’t crank another bad fuel pump. My brother is an engineer and a very smart guy but we can’t figure out what made two fuel go bad???
Anyway you guys were right. I checked onto the boat rentals and you can’t keep them over night. Thanks for all your help.

So we rented a boat from Bohicket last Friday and you can go a limited distance up several of the adjacent creeks off N Edistro but not far enough. The current was really moving and had a bit of a time getting the hook to set in a couple of promising places. had a good time though and the boat ran well. would have liked to have some live bait. ended up with a dozen lady fish and 1 small shark-all released. Guys, i was really hoping for my first red. been trying for 10 years and it hasn’t happened. next opportunity comes on my annual surf trip to south core banks in NC. wish me luck.

Yep I was. We actually are trying to finalizie details in the next couple weeks. We will be renting 16 foot skiffs with 25’s on the back and and 18 foot CC with a 90 yam 4 stroke what will be a little diff is we are trying to work it out to be able to bring the boats to our customers at agreed upon landing . Not sure how it will work out and have been trying to gauge a customer base. We have a very successful family ran business now but looking hard at other avenues to pursue.
